Happy Halloween :)
Well its octoer 31st 2006, halloween obviously lol.
Wow so every snotty middle schooler decided to come to MY house tonight...ugh...they're not ALL bad, but the ones who came to my door...just...ew. Some random girl/ "cat" decided to "meow" at me and hiss at my little brother. I'm thinking...ummm...ok get off my property...
I took zach out for a bit (he was a star wars guy pirate...it was so cute!) but he got scared after about 3 houses so i took him back...but it was still really cute lol. My other brother, chris, was a "rock star" and his hair was all funky and spiked it was pretty sweet, my other brother jordan was a spy, he looked really sweet in my dads tux and sunglasses lol.
so it was a good day...
Sickness
oh man...im sick! im not puking or anything but... still, i feel really gross lol:P
anyways, um, not really much going on here, just talking on msn, reading, and basically just hanging out. anyways, later
Football vs. Rugby
Well the FHS team won, of course, but the score was not their best; usually they would get somewhere around 40 or 50 but today they only scored 26-0. And their tackles were really sloppy, im really surprised the ref didnt call anything on them. Other than that they played well and it was really fun. Me and meagan were FREEZING! Some guy on the OHS team got hurt really bad on the feild, apparently he was knocked unconscious, so someone called the ambulance, and it came and everything was ok. I feel really bad for the guy and for the guy's family, though.
So, ive come to the conclusion that rugby is still a dangerous sport, but football is just as dangerous; even thought they wear protective gear and rugby players dont, it's still very easy to get hurt in football. Although, I'm still kindof 'iffy' about this whole equipment thing. All rugby players have are a mouthguard and sometimes a thing for our ears, thats it. Football players have chest gear, a helmet, butt gear, shin thingies, and a mouthguard. And both rugby players and football players are hurt alot, but probably football more than rugby. Maybe its because guys are slightly more aggressive when it comes to full contact sports because they know their vitals are protected, also, by nature most guys tend to be more aggressive than most girls, and then they get more injuries,
but that doesnt make them better. Maybe because rugby players are slightly more cautious of our surroundings and the fact that we arent wearing much in the way of gear might make us slightly less aggressive, then we get less injuries.
But that doesn't make us wimps.I still like rugby better, obviously. Yeah, as i said, its still a dangerous sport. but i think i was wrong about football; it IS still similar to rugby, but its different too. Its a good, fun game, they both are. People get hurt in rugby and in football, people die in both rugby and football as well.
Thursdays and Football
Dont you just hate thursdays sometimes? i mean, its almost the end of the week but not quite there yet, sometimes I even think its almost up there with mondays...ew.
Anyways, so today was pretty sweet, up until i had a big argument with the biggest jerk ever...but...im not getting into that...lol.
We had a Terry Fox assembly today and then after that walked around the football feild. Speaking of football, i think i may be going to the game. me and this guy in my bio class had yet another argument about rugby vs. football (he's a football player, of course) and i said "well...actually ive never been to a football game" and he told me to go to the one on this coming saturday...so for the "sake of argument" and the fact i just kinda actually want to go (crazy...). im going to watch a bunch of 17 year old guys run around, yell at each other, and throw a ball around (well...thats not that different then rugby...but whatever thats not the point lol) in huge equipment, awkward helmets, and spandex shorts on saturday at 1pm. should be an enriching experience lol...
anyways, not much else going on here.
What is Wrong With This World?!
I know this isnt a rare thing these days, considering the events that are taking place in the Middle East right now. But I was just blog browsing and...i came across one that completely bashed Muslims! And I hate how people these days think when one Muslim is horrible, that all the rest of them are too. I mean, they have FEELINGS, they have LIVES, they love people, they aren't the big terrible monsters alot of people make them out to be. I just wonder...if it had been another religion or another group of people that smashed into the Twin Towers or did the other terrible stuff that has taken place, would we be so prejudiced and awful toward them? ALL of them? Whats wrong with our world today? why are we all so stupid when it comes to the War on Terror and the Middle East and such? And another thing, why do some NOT care?! can they not take their noses out of the air for 2 seconds to actually listen to the news and do something? or maybe just pray?
Shut It
could the world just leave me alone...for 2 SECONDS?! I have got prod, dance, school/homework, youth events, youth GROUP, church, relationships (deteriorating and budding ones)
...phones ringin...
more later
Oh Mondays
i simply love mondays. especially when my bio teacher desides to call me a loner because im a redhead. (jokingly of course, but STILL). Anyways, not much else going on in my world at the moment, so this post was pretty much pointless...but whatever lol.ps. AUDITION FOR FIDDLER ON THE ROOF ON WEDNESDAY!!!!! WOOT!!!!!
Yeah, I am aware that this is like the 4th blog I've created but you'll just have to deal with it lol :PI am so sick right now, im not barfing YET but i have: sore throat, cough, nausea, massive headache all, and drowsy-ness. It is so much FUN. It doesnt help things much that i have a big history test tomorrow on napoloeon. why do we need to know about history? is that ever going to help me? ever? im planning on being a nurse, and hisotry really only comes into play int he career world when your a history teacher...so why is it mandatory that i take history in grades 9, 10, 11? Anyways, its not really important im just ranting. So question here...what is with people and their driving need to argue and nit-pick and just make other people's lives miserable? I know I have done that before, i admit it freely (although I've never intentionally striven to make someone's life miserable). But seriously? what is it with humans and the love of bad drama? Tell me what you think.
